Classic Log Bait Deck!
Ash gepostet vor 4 Jahren (aktualisiert vor 4 Jahren)

Today we have Kidkid on the channel who has used this deck to reach over 7300 trophies!! The clue is in the name when trying to master a bait deck, you should try to “bait” out the opponents counters (mainly small spells like log) then you can punish them with your goblin barrel knowing they don’t have a good counter in cycle. Against heavier decks you’ll easily be able to out cycle their counters! Ice spirit can offer a lot of value for only one elixir, it can be used to tank tower damage for the goblin barrel or it can be used to take out units like bats. It’s reset ability works great on defence against units like prince, battle ram and inferno dragon. Knight is a great mini tank and should be used to tank damage for your “squishy” units either on defence or offence. If he has a good amount if HP remaining you should counter push with him, using him as a tank. Spell cycle is a HUGE part of playing a bait deck, acquiring log chip damage throughout the match is important providing you won’t have to rely on it for defence. Rocket cycling will often be used in over time. Cycling two rockets is possible if you know you can defend in time however the safest way to play is to try to get a princess connection or cycling logs until their tower is in rocket range. It’s also important to learn what damage your rocket and log when combined together so you never lose a match due to a miscalculation of your spell damage. One mistake a lot of people make when using a bait deck is playing too aggressively, yes you will need to try to control the tempo of the match but you also need to ensure you have enough elixir to defend the opponents counter push.

Princess

Princess is a vital unit when defending, you can play her opposite lane and her long range will help defend and also provide a small counter push. When using her defensively always try to protect her to force a spell from your opponents hand. Kidkid will rarely play her behind his king tower, he likes to use her aggressively at the bridge. It is useful against other bait decks or bridge spam decks where you will rely on the chip damage in order to get their towers into spell cycle range.

Goblin Barrel

Goblin barrel is your main win condition, use this card to punish your opponent when you’ve successfully bailed out a key counter. If the opponent has barb barrel make sure you play it on the side of the towers so the barb barrel can splash them all at once. Defensive barrels can be useful at helping defend against bridge spam units and preventing them from connecting to your towers.

Inferno Tower

Inferno tower has seen its use rates drops however inside this deck it works so well at helping protect your princess towers from heavy tank units. It can also be used to kite units like royal hogs, ram rider or hog rider. You can pair this card with ice spirit to prevent certain units connecting with a charged ability like battle ram or ram rider. You can’t see from the first replay Kidkid will use this card to help defend against siege units. It’s important to have units ready to support the inferno tower to stop them breaking through your defence.

Strategie zum Spielbeginn
X1

Starting out with this deck you have a lot of options, you can play goblin barrel in the safe spot to see if you can bait out a spell early or you can cycle ice spirit or knight in the back. Never waste your log until you know what deck your opponent is playing. You will often need to keep applying pressure even in single elixir, against heavier decks you will rely heavily on having the tower damage advantage during single elixir.

Strategie zum Spielende
X2

A lot of your matches will go into over time, this is because you will often only require small chip damage throughout the match and you’re working towards getting their tower into rocket range. Don’t forget defence is very important and staggering your units correctly will help prevent giving your opponent good spell value. I highly recommend watching the replays in today’s video (feel free to stick me on mute) just to see the decision making that kid kid makes when using this deck!
