Giant Freeze
clash with ash posted 5 years ago (updated 5 years ago)

With all Freeze decks you have the element of surprise and you need to use this to your advantage. This deck works very well on defence which can open up the game for you to go on a strong counter push. This deck also has the elixir pump, you should keep pumping up during the first two minuets where possible but don’t worry if your opponent keeps countering he pump with a spell because it opens up the game for you to play your wizard or mega minion and they will have one less answer to these cards in their rotation. The freeze can make some opponents panic especially if the giant is on their tower, so make sure you have a support troop on the field or you have log ready to deploy. This deck is great fun and you could easily beat any opponent whether they’re pro or not If you play this right and surprise your opponent with the freeze spell.

The Log

The long is your online direct damge in this deck so it’s highly important you get chip damage whenever possible throughout the entire match. This will be your main counter to ground based swarm units but you can also push back cards to make them retarget. This card is also a good counter the rascals which are pretty common in this current meta.

Freeze

You basically only have one shot at surprising your opponent with this card so make sure you bide your time and play this card when the time is right. Don’t be afraid of using this card on defence and allowing your wizard to take down a huge push.

Giant

The giant is your heavy tank in this deck, you can use him in the centre to kite units across into the other lane. You rarely want to use the freeze solo on the giant you need to ensure you have plenty of support troops to allow them to overwhelm your opponent in the few seconds they’re frozen.

Elixir Collector

The pump is a great card and often forces your opponent to chose between giving you an elixir lead of holding onto their spell which they might need to counter your support cards.

Wizard

This guy is great he can shut down a lot of cards especially if he’s behind the giant or your pair him with the freeze. He is fairly fragile so keep him out of spell radius to you collectors and princess towers.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

Early game you rarely want to play your freeze unless you know your ahead on elixir or a good opportunity arises where you know you can overwhelm your opponent. If you play it to early you will often struggle to defend their counter push. During the first two miners keep pumping up, protecting the pump where possible and taking advantage of any mistakes your opponent might make. You should try to figure out what deck they’re running and what cards they need to have out of rotation before you commit to playing your freeze spell later on in the game.

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Later game is the time you can go more aggressive and surprise your opponent with that freeze spell. Make sure you have plenty of support troops on the field to help shut don’t any cards your opponent plays after you’ve played the freeze. As you can see from my video sometimes we don’t even play the freeze spell until double elixir so it’s definitely important to know your opponents cards rotation and knowing when and where to play this freeze.
