Best Bait Deck Right Now!
clash with ash posted 5 years ago (updated 5 years ago)

Morten is one of the best bait players out there and he created this deck to help counter some of the stronger decks in this meta. The fireball replaces the rocket because in this meta there is a lot of fireball bait including magic archer and the royal hogs. The dart goblin and princess both work well on defence especially against the graveyard which has a high use rate in this meta. Use their long range to your advantage and space them out to avoid giving your opponent spell value. The prince is another great card to use on defence because he has a good counter push potential. The triple spells in this deck work well together especially against those faster cycle decks, you can get a lot of value from pairing the fireball with the Tornado especially against three musketeers if you can pull them into the same lane and take them out with the fireball as well as hitting their tower or pump.

Princess

You should try and stack up princess’ because they easily overwhelm your opponents defence and help support your pushes. Towards the end of match you can play her at the bridge to get chip damage and apply pressure.

Goblin Barrel

Goblin barrel can be used to pressure your opponent if you need to force them to play their log or you know it isn’t in cycle and you’re punishing them. It can also be used against an elixir pump too.

Tornado

Tornado is a great card it synergies well with the princess on defence and it should also be used to activate your king tower during the early stages of the game.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

You can start out the match with a princess behind your king tower or even cycle the dart goblin at the bridge and try and get some early chip damage. Test your opponent and see what counters they have for your goblin barrel, a lot of decks in this meta will have three spells so you will need to gain a good elixir lead or know what your opponent has in cycle before going too aggressive. When you first play your goblin barrel play it in the anti-Tornado position so your opponent can’t activate their king tower. Take all the spell value your opponent gives you because this deck is all about acquiring chip damage. Against heavy decks like lava hound, golem or giant you should wait for your onto over spend on elixir and then apply pressure opposite lane, if they play their tank early game you can easily punish and still have enough elixir left to defend.

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Later game you can apply pressure dual lane and also take advantage of any counter pushes especially with the prince. If you know your opponent is at an elixir deficit then keep applying pressure if it match is close to ending. If you have taken a tower then focus on defence but I also recommend applying light pressure in the opposite lane to force them to spend elixir defending. Goodluck running this deck!
