2.6 Hog Cycle!
clash with ash posted 5 years ago (updated 5 years ago)

Today LucasXGamer is on my channel showing us the OG 2.6 Hog Cycle. The recent buff to the musketeer has given this card a viable spot in the meta. Use your quick cycle cards very wisely, don’t just throw them down the lane because you’ll end up at an elixir disadvantage. Lucas almost always plays same lane as the opponent so he can defend on his side of the arena and then use his troops to support the hog of a counter push unless your against lava hound where you will need to force them to use their support troops defensively in the opposite lane. Against golem decks you will rely on the canon to kite the golem, the skeletons are good at chipping away at his HP while your ice golem can tank damage from their support troops. If you need to cycle cards then the log or even the ice spirit at the bridge are a good choice because they can get tower damage.

Ice Golem

Ice golem is key to help you out on defence and act as a tank for your hog rider. Playing him at the river, opposite lane can kite units and will often give you a good positive elixir trade. He’s good to play him front of the hog rider too, this will make it more difficult for them to use Tornado and the ice golem will also tank some damage allowing the hog to get extra hits.

Hog Rider

The hog is your win condition, he can be used to apply pressure at the correct time of the match. He can be used to troops away from your tower preventing them getting any damage while also giving you a counter push.

This girl is your main air defence and you will also rely on her range to defend most of the opponents pushes. Because of this never cycle her or play her behind your towers. Always use her range to your advantage and keep her alive as much as you can just like you would a princess in a bait deck.

Early Stage Gameplan

During single elixir you will need to play the hog rider to try and get some chip damage in single elixir. Try and figure out what spells your opponents are playing and try and avoiding giving them spell value.

Late Stage Gameplan

Spells are important later game too, especially if you need to start spell cycling if you’re against an executioner Tornado deck. Try to always get value with your log by taking out units and hitting their tower. Check out the video to see how Lucas handles some of the decks you might face in meta !
