Today I’m sharing this off meta graveyard freeze deck which also has some of the strongest defensive units in the game at the moment! Because this deck is so defensive you can play passively and patiently then punish your opponent on the counter push. Try to always track your opponents main defensive units, such as executioner or Valkyrie, then punish them when they’re out of cycle. Against seige decks you’ll rely on your canon cart to help stop their xbow or mortar and you can use your Valkyrie to help stop their swarm units. If the opponent is playing royal giant then ice wizard Tornado will be important on defence, try to punish the opponent after a successful defence. If they’re running a beat down archetype then make sure you space out your troops to avoid giving the opponent good spell value, use Tornado alongside ice wizard and baby dragon. Graveyard freeze once you know their main counters are out of cycle. If the opponent has lava hound try to apply pressure at the bridge as soon as they place their hound but safe your air units for defence. If they have lava loon you might need to save the freeze spell to play it defensively. In most matchups you’ll be looking to play same lane as your opponent so you can defend and counter. If they play an elixir collector behind their tower you can graveyard that lane to try and get some chip damage.
Graveyard is your main win condition, check out the video to see the most optimal graveyard placements. Try to have a unit tanking tower tower to allowed skeletons to build up however because you have freeze if you know their low on elixir you can simply go for a graveyard paired with freeze. A lot of the time you won’t play this card in single elixir unless you have a good elixir lead.
Tornado can be paired with either baby dragon or ice wizard on the defensive end to help stop their push. Offensively you can pull ranged units into the other lane and away from your tank or you can also pull unit close to their tower to allow the baby dragon to splash their units and tower at the same time. Try to activate your king tower early game if possible especially against bait, bridge spam, royal hogs and hog rider.
Valkyrie is incredibly strong right now, she is a great tank unit for the graveyard but you should aim to use her defensively then counter push with her. She will be important on defence against bait deck and also other graveyard decks. She’s also a good counter to goblin barrels and miners.
In the first two minuets of the match try to play very passively, make positive elixir trades and punish your opponent if you know their only graveyard counters are out of cycle. You can apply lane pressure if they play a heavy unit like golem or lava hound in the back. For opening moves I’d wait around 20 seconds to see if the opponent makes the first move. Ice wizard can offer a lot of defensive value so try not to waste this card during the early stages of the match.
I’m double elixir you should play this deck a lot more aggressively. Double elixir is the ideal time to use your freeze spell however try to play it as late as possible to allow the opponent to drop as many as defensive units as possible so you can get maximum value.
