Today we have Pong on the channel who is a Korean YouTuber! This isn’t a meta deck, pong has made this deck himself. I love the defensive capability of this deck, the ice wizard and Edrag does extremely well at slowing down units while also damaging their support troops! The ram rider provides a good counter push opportunity and she can also be used to pressure the opponent if they make a big elixir commitment. Her stun mechanic also allows you to play her defensively against units like balloon or hog rider. The skeletons are great for making positive elixir trades and should be used to distract units like Pekka and they can also be used to catch charging units like prince or bandit. You can knight and barb barrel which can be used as mini tanks inside this deck, they can help support your ram rider or they can be used defensively to help protect your princess towers.
Tornado is a great addition to this deck, you can see from the replays that Pong will use this card to pull their defensive units away from your ram rider. It also synergies very well defensively with the ice wizard!
Barb barrel has seen his use rate decrease over the last couple of months however he works really well in this deck because of the tank ability of the barbarian. It can also be used against bait archetypes very well. If you want to swap this card out you can either go for ice golem or log.
Early game try to get a king tower activation to help aid your defence throughout the rest of the match. You can start out by playing barb barrel at the bridge or knight behind your king tower. Try to make positive elixir trades defensively and then counter push with the ram rider. You’ll play more passively in single elixir, however if the opponent plays a heavy tank like golem or hound, then play aggressive, stop them building up a huge push and try to tank down one of their towers.
In double elixir you can begin to use your poison offensively to support your troops or just take any spell value. If you’re struggling to break through their defence you can pressure opposite lane or you can try to go super aggressive after a successful defence! Check out the replays to see how Pong uses this deck live on Ladder!
