Today we have Kidkid who is potential the best bait player in the entire world. This is a classic log bait deck with rocket which is super popular right now due to the high use rates of executioner and also the sparky! The main aim of the classic log bait is to try and control the tempo of the match and force your opponent to use their spells where they don’t want to use them, then you can punish them with your other units. Try to protect your princess, have the log hovering and ready to deploy when the princess is at the bridge. Keeping her alive as long as possible not only allows you to cycle back to another princess but it also forces more elixir from your opponent.
Princess is an incredibly important unit inside this deck. Not only is she a good defensive unit to play opposite lane she can also be used aggressively at the bridge against heavier decks. This is a good tactic to use because it can force the log from your opponents hand which will then allow you to pressure with the goblin barrel. Also if you play her opposite lane it doesn’t allow your opponent to get good spell value against her. You can also play her behind your king tower when defending against graveyard, you will need to play other units to counter their tank.
Goblin barrel is your main win condition and is a great unit to use to apply pressure and force a response from your opponent. When you first play this card you’re best to place it in the anti tornado position. If your opponent has barbarian barrel playing it to the side of the princess tower means one goblin will always survive if they place the barb barrel centrally on their tower, if they don’t they will need to predict the side it’s going to land on. This card also works very well with the ice spirit or knight who can tank some tower damage.
Inferno tower will be your main defence against those annoying elixir golems, giants, golem and lava hound. Never cycle this card only use it when you need to otherwise you’re wasting 5 elixir. They can also be used to kite bridge spam units including the hog rider and it also works well against the balloon.
Early game you can start out the match by cycling ice spirit at the bridge, play an offensive barrel or playing a princess in the back. Try to control the tempo of the match and get a good damage advantage early on. Have rocket ready to take any spell value that can take out any units worth 5 elixir or more.
Going into double elixir you should have a good damage advantage against any beat down archetype you’re up against.
