2.9 X-Bow with the BEST player in the WORLD!
Ash posted 4 years ago (updated 4 years ago)

Today we have LemonTree68 on the channel who in my opinion is the best x-bow player right now! 2.9 consistently have one of the strongest win rates in the game so I highly recommend trying to master this deck to help improve your overall game play and also give you a good deck you use no matter the meta! You can see from the first replay how defensive LemonTree uses this deck, he will wait patiently and set up for a perfect offensive manoeuvre to end the game. Often you only need on successful tower lock to either take the tower out or get it low enough to be in spell cycle range. Pro tip, learn what damage your log and fireball do the princess tower for when you need to spell cycle! When you don’t want to go offensive you can either split archers or skeletons and pre-placing a defensive Tesla. Against beatdown archetypes you may need to use a defensive x-bow then cycle back to an offensive x-bow to help take down their heavy tanks.

Ice Spirit

Ice spirit is one of your two main cycle cards. It is extremely important to try to get as much value for your elixir when cycling as possible. Ice spirit can be used against bats, minions, miners and it also works well at resetting units like inferno dragon, sparky, battle ram or either of the princes.

Tesla

Tesla is your main Xbow support card, it can be used defensively in the centre of the arena as a defensive unit. This card can one shot units like minions or goblins which can can be a pain for your x-bow.

Ice Golem

Ice golem is you mini tank and can offer a lot of value for only two elixir if you use it correctly. On defence it can be used to catch miners or kite units like prince or pekka into the opposite lane. It can also tank damage which will allow your princess towers enough time to shut down their push. On offence it should be used to help keep the x-bow alive as long as possible.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

You should wait 10-15 seconds to see if your opponent makes the first move, if they don’t then cycle skeletons, ice spirit or split archers in he back to start off the match. Against heavier decks you’ll be looking to have the tower damage advantage going into double elixir. Punish your opponent after a successful defence and once you get hat tower lock try to support your x-bow as much as possible and have your cycle units ready to help defend it.

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Double elixir you’ll be easily able to cycle through this deck with ease. While you still need to focus heavily on defence you should try to track the opponents key cards and apply pressure when they’re out of cycle, remember you can easily out cycle most decks so sometimes you should defend the play aggressively after and against decks with a few heavy cards try applying opposite lane pressure as soon as they place on in the back.
