#1 LAVA LOON DECK!
Ash posted 4 years ago (updated 4 years ago)

Today I have he best lavaloon player in the world using this deck live on top ladder! Lava loon has been a stable archetype for a long time and that’s why I’m a huge fan of it! Check out the video to see the best locations to play your hound throughout the match. One mistake today’s pro often sees is people over committing on defence and then not having enough elixir to support their lava hound. Just like golem beat down deck you need to use your towers HP as a resource in order to be able to invest more elixir on offence! This deck has very limited options in terms of defence so building an elixir lead is very important! You have a lot of spell bait inside this deck so you need to be able to punish your opponent when you know they don’t have a good counter in cycle. Offence is definitely the best defence when using a deck like this one!

Lava Hound

Lava hound decks are typically countered by executioner tornado decks however playing hound behind your king tower to start out a push and using miner to support the pups can help a lot. In a match where your against tanks like giant/golem then play the hound same lane and Then your defensive troops will become your support troops.

Miner

Miner can be used as a secondary unit to tank damage for the pups, guards and dragons throughout the match once the hound is dead. You will need to use him to defend, especially in single elixir because you only have two ground cards in this deck.

Inferno Dragon

This guy is your main tank killer and can be used to apply pressure behind the hound when you know you don’t need him for defence. Playing him on the outside of the arena will make it harder for the opponent to kite him into the opposite lane. Against best down decks and other hound decks protect this card from their support units as much as possible.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

Lava hound is a great opening play when using this deck. Play her in the location shown at 2:20 in my video. Use the hound to act as a tank for your support cards. Assess what deck your opponent is playing and what their key counters to the hound and balloon are. Remember you can use miner later game to help snipe ranged units like musketeer, magic archer, princess, hunter etc.

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Later game is when you should start fully supporting your lava hound and even tower trading if you get the opportunity. Use your spells to protect your units and keep them alive for as long as possible. Keep up the pressure with the balloon too!
