The Deck that NEVER DIES!
Ash posted 2 years ago (updated 2 years ago)

Today we have the pro player Colton on my channel teaching us how to use this deck and helping me reach a new PB! This is the traditional pekka bridge spam and it’s a punish deck that can be really rewarding and in my opinion is extremely easy to play. Against certain decks you will need to apply dual lane pressure throughout the match, this is if the opponent has inferno tower, Tornado, bomb tower etc. You should support pekka a little but then also hit the opposite lane at the same time, this is why it’s important to defend then counter push, this will ensure you have enough elixir to fully support your units. Against lava hound you will always go opposite lane and basically race for the three crown. In this meta mini pekka is highly used and it can cause trouble for you since it can counter bandit, ghost and battle ram. So try to stop the opponent stacking them in one lane. Some decks you won’t be able to out cycle the mini pekka so the best thing to do is build up a big push in one lane then as soon as the opponent plays mini pekka you can rush opposite lane. Against 2.6 decks you need to deny as much damage as possible early game and wait until double elixir, then you can play pekka and try to protect your weak side tower.

Colton says this guy, I’m most matchups will be responsible for getting around 20-30% of tower damage. You need to use him at the bridge to help support your units and defend against incoming pushes, use his unique ability to chip away at the opponents tower throughout the match and potentially force a spell from your opponents cycle.

Bandit is a great unit to use to pressure the opponent for only three elixir. Practise with her to learn her dash radius then you can use her to target units on the other side of the river.

Pekka is a great unit that can be used to help defend against golems, giants and other tanks. Don’t play her in single elixir unless you have too because the opponent will punish you opposite lane for playing her. Double elixir is the time you can start to play her more and counter push behind her. Have your spells ready to protect her from swarm units.

Early Stage Gameplan

Early game you need to assess what deck your opponent is playing. You can start out the match with a bandit, ghost, battle ram or even a magic archer in the back. Never play the pekka unless you absolutely have to in single elixir. Against quick cycle decks your main aim is to survive until double elixir and while taking minimal tower damage. Use your spells to help defend and make positive elixir trades when possible. Against beat down decks try to keep up the pressure and force them to defend, as soon as they play a tank you should immediately go opposite lane to force them to split their elixir.

Late Stage Gameplan

I love double elixir with this deck because you can easily apply dual lane pressure and really control the tempo of every match. You can start to use your magic archer at the bridge and also begin to use your spells on offence rather than defence. You can also use the battle ram to kite units into the opposite lane for a positive elixir trade against units like pekka or prince.
