Today I have Storm❤️Lava on the channel who has zero trophies because he only ever plays in challenges! This is a perfect deck to learn and master because lava loon has stood the test of time just like 2.6 hog or 2.9 x-bow. Lava hound decks are all about been able to build up a solid push to over whelm your opponent. The hound will be your main tank and you can then use balloon or minions behind her to help take their tower. You can also use the minions to bait out arrows, snow ball, zap etc so when the hound pops the opponent has one less counter to the pups. For defence you only have the tombstone and guards for ground units, so against x-bow or mortar go to punish them opposite lane and tower trade. Guards can also be placed to surround splash units like the wizard, sparky, executioner. Use the tombstone to help kite golems, giants, balloon, hog rider, ram rider etc, then you can use mega minion, guards or regular minions to help defend your towers.
Use the hound to tank tower damage for the rest of your units, in double elixir you can play her at the bridge to tank for your counter push troops. However early game only play her if you have an elixir advantage and she should be played in the back.
Use the balloon to apply pressure and force a response from your opponent. Early game you can use it solely at the bridge if you confident the opponent doesn’t have a good counter in cycle. As the match progresses into double elixir you should play it behind the lava hound who will tank tower damage and increase the chances of balloon reaching the opponents tower.
Mega minion is incredible on defence, it doesn’t die to fireball or poison and can help support your princess towers and can even be used on the counter push, either behind the lava hound or tanking tower damage for a balloon early game.
Early game you can apply pressure with the balloon to see how the opponent responds and what air defence they’re running inside their deck. You can also start out the match with a tombstone, minions or you can wait for the opponent to make the first play. Don’t over commit on offence, I prefer to defend and then counter push.
Once you hit double elixir keep playing tombstone on defence, this will allow you to play hound in the back and prevent the opponent immediately rushing opposite lane. You can start to use your spells more aggressively by taking any spell value and also using them to support your lava-loon pushes. Goodluck with this deck everyone!
