#1 GOLEM DECK!
Ash posted 3 years ago (updated 3 years ago)

Today we welcome Emir on the channel who is the pro player using this deck on top ladder today. Golem beat down has been a strong archetype for a long time, two of the strongest defensive units in this deck are the ice wizard and the baby dragon. The pro Faust recently said one of the most difficult pushes to stop is the golem and night witch and that is the bread and butter wen using this deck. You will mainly save your main pushes for double elixir when it’s harder for your opponent to punish you for playing the golem. However if you have an elixir advantage you can pressure with the golem early game. With beat down decks you sometimes need to take some damage on your princess towers in order to build up and invest more elixir into your offensive push and fully support your golem.

Cards Guides
Golem

Golem is your main tank and should be used to tank tower damage for the rest of your units to help take down their towers. His death damage can kill minions, bats, goblins etc and also deals a ton of damage to their towers.

Lightning

You can use lightening to help support your pushes and take out their defensive troops or buildings. Try to make a positive elixir trade when we you use this card.

Ice Wizard

Ice wizard is a strong defensive unit that has great synergy with the tornado. Use it to help defend those bigger pushes in single elixir and counter push with him in double elixir.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

Using a golem early game can force the opponent to play defensively which means they waste their single elixir time defending. Don’t overcommit with your pushes, your main aim is to buy yourself time until double elixir when you’ll often have the matchup advantage with this deck. Try to activate your king tower if you get the opportunity by using the tornado, this is important against hog rider, bait decks, graveyard and even balloon cycle decks!

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Once you’re in double elixir you can begin fully supporting your pushes and trying to overwhelm the opponent. You can also start using your spells to support your pushes and try to build up a strong set of support cards behind the golem. Goodluck with this deck everyone!
