Hog 2.6 is still OP
Ash posted 3 years ago

Today we have the #1 hog player, Yearson, in the channel sharing the traditional 2.6 hog cycle deck that he’s currently using inside the top 500 in the world! Hog is the strongest it’s ever been in the history of Clash Royale. These kind of cycle decks require you to be able to get maximum value from every unit you play, especially the cycle cards and you should also protect your musketeer as much as possible. Learn what deck you’re opponent is playing and apply pressure with the hog when they’re either low on elixir or when they don’t have a good defensive option in cycle. Pressuring with the hog rider can be a good strategy to force your opponent to use elixir defensively... playing defence through offence! Canon will be a key defensive unit to use alongside the musketeer. Use the ice golem, skeletons and ice spirit to help protect your other units and keep them alive as long as possible.

Ice Golem

You guys already know I love this frosty dude because of how versatile he is on both defence and offence. Inside a 2.6 deck he can be used as a glass tank, especially for the hog rider. You can also use him to kite units like pekka, Prince, ghost or the dragons into the opposite lane and away from your princess towers. His frost nova can be useful against mini hordes, goblins, skarmy and bats.

Hog Rider

Hog rider is your main win condition, use him to pressure the opponent and try to out cycle their defensive units. All you need is one hog hit per push to make it worth while pressuring the opponent. He can also be used to kite certain units away from your towers. As the match progresses you can start to use prediction spells to help support this guy.

Fireball

Fireball has a knock back ability which can be used to reset units like ram rider, battle ram, inferno dragon etc. In double elixir you might need to use this card to spell cycle you opponent to end the match.

Early Stage Gameplan
X1

At the start of the match you can start out the the hog rider or cycle to him if he isn’t in cycle. Learn what deck the opponent is playing, remember to make positive elixir trades on defence and counter push with your musketeer and ice golem if you get the opportunity. Against graveyard decks you’ll rely on the skeletons and canon to defend the spawning skeletons, keep switching lanes to force the opponent to split their damage.

Late Stage Gameplan
X2

Once you hit double elixir you should keep up that offensive pressure and begin to make prediction spell placements to support your hog rider. Goodluck with this deck everyone! I definitely recommend watching Yerson’s gameplay in today’s video, his defence is absolutely insane!
