Can you ever have enough air splash inside a deck...? In my opinion and the opinion of pro players the answer is definitely not! Today’s pro player Zodiac has paired up the baby dragon and skeleton dragon inside this golem beat down deck. The skeleton dragons will mainly be played at the bridge to help snipe defensive troops that can counter our golem. The baby dragon will be used as a support card behind the golem in the majority of matchups. One exception would be against elixir golem where you need all he defensive splash damage you can get! Beat down is a strong archetype this meta and each card in the deck are fairly straight forward to play. Use your spells to help make positive elixir trades and support your defensive units.

Night Witch

Night witch is probably the best support card in the game for any beat down archetype. Play her as soon as possible when starting out your push to give her more time to spawn as many bats as possible.

Tornado has great synergy in this deck because it can be used to pull units into the death damage of the golem or group units together so the dragons can splash all their units. It should also be used to activate your king tower as early as possible. Use this card late game to pull ranged units into the opposite lane and away from your push. This works well against executioner, magic archer, musketeer etc.

Goblin Cage

Cage is a strong defensive unit that should be used to kite units into the centre of the arena to help defend. It works great against hog rider, ram rider, giant, balloon etc especially if you are able to active your king tower. The brawler has good counter push potential so it can sometimes be worth support him with a log if you’re up against bait.

Early Stage Gameplan

Early game it’s important to activate your king tower as early as possible while also learning what deck the opponent is playing. Against control decks like graveyard, miner etc try pressuring with the golem early game. Just don’t over commit on offence!

Late Stage Gameplan

Once you’re in double elixir it’s time to fully support your golem, use your spells to help protect your units and try to get as much value from your splash cards as possible. Keep cage in cycle just in as you need it on defence. Good luck with this deck everyone!
