Today we welcome Pompeyo on the channel sharing his #1 balloon cycle deck that he used to reach top 300 in the as a level 11. Balloon cycle decks have a high skill cap and in the majority of match-ups you'll slowly chip away at the opponents towers throughout the match. Remember a good defence is strong offence! That applies to this deck, even if you can get the balloon to their tower then using it as a pressure card will help you chip away with your miner, spells and the balloon death damage. Try not to over commit on your pushes and only go all in if your opponent makes a mistake. Against quicker cycle decks, like hog rider, try to always have elixir in your hand in case they rush your towers.
Miner is an extremely versatile card that can act as a mini tank for the balloon and can also snipe range units like dart goblin, princess, magic archer or musketeer. You can use zap to re-target their tower into your miner if you play him late. He's also a great counter to the elixir collector and can be used to help chip away at the opponents towers through out the match. Remember to keep changing his location to make it harder for your opponent to predict where he's going to appear.
Inferno Dragon is your main defensive unit against tanks, balloon etc. This card can also act as a spell bait card if you don't heavily require this card for defence. You can also use this card more offensively if you don't require it for defence because this card demands a response from your opponent and could potentially bait out their main air defence.
The goblin cage us a great card to use to kite units into the centre which gives you more time to shut down their push and deal with any support cards. The brawler also provides you with a small counter push opportunity and can also be used a tank for the balloon. For the best tile placements when using this card check out the video at 12:20-15:30. As you can see in the video you don't have to play this card in the centre all the time!
Early game you can start out with a miner in the safe spot or even go aggressive with a balloon at the bridge if that's your play style. In most matches you should be slightly more aggressive in single because the opponent will have less opportunity to defend. Try to acquire as much chip damage as possible early game while learning what deck the opponent is playing and what counters they have for your balloon and miner.
Once you're in double elixir try to have either the goblin cage or inferno dragon in cycle in case they rush your towers. Your main goal in double elixir will be to counter push, however if they're running a beat down deck then try to punish them if they place a tank behind their towers.
