Today we're taking a look back to 2016 to the first deck I ever shared on youtube, since then dozens of cards have been added and this deck was made before legendary cards existed in the game. I called this the swarm deck because of the skarmy and the witch, however it's more of a bait archetype. Keep up the pressure with the goblin barrel, you can use the spear goblins and skarmy to bait our small spells like zap, log or barb barrel. Utilise the freeze when you know the opponent is low on elixir or when they don't have a good counter in cycle. For air defence you will rely on the archers, witch and the spear goblins can be used against minions or bats. Make sure you space out your troops to avoid giving your opponent spell value.
Prince is a good tank killer and can also be used as a bridge spam card to support the goblin barrel if you need to rush the opposite lane or if you know you have a good elixir advantage. On defence try to place this card so that he has enough time to charge to maximise his damage.
Knight is a good mini tank and also a strong defensive unit that can take down a mega knight with the support of your princess towers. Cycle him throughout the match if you're not sure what other card to play.
Goblin barrel is the main win condition and should be used to pressure the opponent and force them to play elixir on defence rather than on offence. This card has great synergy with the knight or prince but you can also use it with freeze in double elixir to catch your opponent by surprise.
Early game I like to defend and try to build a strong counter push, try to use the knight or prince to tank damage for the goblin barrel or witch when you get the opportunity. For starting plays with this deck you can use the barrel or split the archers in the back. Don't over commit on offence otherwise you will find it hard to recover from the elixir deficit.
Once you hit double elixir you can start ramping up the offensive pressure. Try to keep cycling the barrel and use the freeze to try and catch your opponent off guard. Good luck with this deck, check out the video to see my old you tube intro and let me know if you watched back in 2016!
